CHASING THE SUN
A reflective and crazy documentary film about survival and the meaning of art.
Chasing the Sun is a creative documentary that explores the tension between creativity and survival in one of the world’s poorest economies. In Malawi, a country where systemic and economic barriers make creative expression a luxury, the story unfolds through the eyes of a film crew struggling to complete an ambitious project. Rather than focus on policymakers or officials, the film captures the ground-level fight to create art in the face of economic instability, scarce resources, and the demands of survival.
